How much does Deutschland train ticket cost?

The Deutschland-Ticket costs €63 per month from January 1, 2026 (up from €58). It’s a flat monthly subscription that lets you ride all local and regional public transport across Germany (buses, trams, S-Bahn, U-Bahn and regional trains like RE/RB) — but not long-distance trains (ICE/IC/EC). For students, a discounted rate will also increase from around €38 to €43 per month from 2026 (that’s the usual pricing via the student/subsidised offer — varies slightly depending on transport association). You can cancel the subscription monthly. You have to cancel by the 10th of the month if you don’t want to be charged for the next month — otherwise it automatically rolls into the next month’s payment. Even visitors/tourists can buy it — there’s no nationality restriction. But note:It’s a subscription, so if you don’t cancel before the cutoff you may be billed for another month even if you’ve left the country. Deutsche BahnIt’s valid calendar-month-only, so if you start mid-month you’re still paying the full month’s fee. There are also job-ticket variations (where employers subsidise it, lowering your cost further depending on the deal). Official info / pricing from Deutsche Bahn here:👉 https://int.bahn.de/en/offers/regional/deutschland-ticket — that page has the up-to-date price/FAQ and links to cancellation info.
